Is OPTE makeup or skincare?
OPTE is a superior hybrid of both makeup and skincare. OPTE analyzes every inch of your skin to detect even the subtlest tonal variations and discoloration, then strategically applies our tinted spot-fading serum only to areas with dark spots, sun spots, and age spots to camouflage them on contact.
Our Precision Skincare technology is so precise that OPTE uses less than 3% of the amount of product applied on average with foundation or tinted moisturizer. Because OPTE is precisely covering up and treating only your spots and not the rest of your surrounding skin, the instant results are a completely natural no-makeup makeup look that looks like even-toned, bare skin with its own natural glow.
At the same time, our spot-fading Optimizing Serum works hard to visibly reduce the look of spots when you use OPTE 5x a week for just 5 minutes a day.
Is it a laser or light therapy device?
OPTE is not a laser or blue light therapy device (LED light therapy). The blue light used by OPTE is completely safe and only functions to illuminate your skin (like a flashlight) so that OPTE can detect even the subtlest tonal variations on your skin, also known as discoloration, dark spots, age spots, and sun spots.
Our blue light has been favorably assessed for skin and eye compatibility by an accredited certification laboratory.
When will I see my spots fade?
If you use your OPTE at our recommended frequency of at least 5 times a week, our consumer panel studies have shown that you should begin to see more even skin tone and less visible spots and discoloration in as little as 4 to 8 weeks.
Though hyperpigmentation naturally regenerates, OPTE contains 5% niacinamide, an active ingredient that is clinically proven at that potency to visibly fade the appearance of hyperpigmentation with consistent daily use.
